Lucknow: On the auspicious occasion of Hindi Diwas, on 14th September, Hindi Department of the Lucknow University celebrated Hindi Diwas with great joy and enthusiasm. On this occasion, Hindi Department has organized Hindi week. Under which today’s program started with Saraswati Vandana. Poem recitation and speech were presented by the students.

*Kinjal Dwivedi gave a speech on the importance of Hindi.

Manjari made everyone take a pledge to maintain the dignity of the language. Janhavi Mishra’s poem enthralled the audience. Department Head Professor Neetu Sharma explained the importance of Hindi as the official language of the Union.
Dr. Paul Mathew, while explaining the three-language formula in the Indian education policy, emphasized on learning other languages along with Hindi.
Dr. Saroj in her speech emphasized on the maximum use of Hindi and reading Hindi literature.
In the end, Manjari expressed gratitude to all the participants and guests. Various activities as part of this celebration will continue till 19 September. Under this, street plays (based on women empowerment) will also be organized along with competitions like story competition, poster and slogan competition, lyrical poetry competition, speech etc.
